There’s a better way to live.

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening,  September 3rd  2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Everywhere we look, people are searching for a meaningful life. Some pursue success, while others chase after wealth, pleasure, or recognition; yet, these things often leave the heart unsatisfied. Deep within, we know there must be more to life than simply existing, enduring, or striving without true fulfilment. God never intended for us to live in defeat, emptiness, or constant struggle. Instead, He has prepared a life of abundance, joy, and peace for all who walk with Him. Each day is a fresh opportunity to step into the life God has designed – a better way to live, filled with purpose and gratitude. We don’t have to settle for less, or be weighed down by fear, doubt, or despair. God has called us into a better way of living – one marked by His joy, His peace, and His presence. In today’s sermon titled “There’s a better way to live,” Evangelist Paul Acquah invites you to step out of the ordinary and into an extraordinary way of being. Be blessed as you listen! Rejoicing every day is a better way to live. How do you rejoice every day? It reminds me of John 10 and verse 10. a very familiar scripture for most of us.  The Bible says that Jesus came to give us life and to give us more abundantly.  Not less abundantly so rejoice over that and thank God for that.  I want to just stir you up and encourage you that not only is this the day that God made for you to rejoice and be glad (Psalm 118:24), but this whole week God has got strategic divine appointments waiting for you and let’s not waste it on our carnality. Let’s not waste it on ourselves by being selfish.  Let’s recognise that there’s something bigger and greater going on in our day today that is going to produce for us and flow through us in everlasting supernatural life that is going to bring transformation in Jesus’ name.  There’s joy in communicating with the Lord. In Philippians 1:3-4, Paul says 3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy. Prayer is communing with God.  The Greek word means to speak to:  it means to commune with God, so it’s not necessarily asking him for things, it’s just communing with him. There’s another word called supplication which means you’re making request, but often times it’s prayer and supplication. First, you’re just communing with him, loving him, praising him and enjoying yourself in his presence.  Then you can have supplications where you take your request or  troubles to the Lord in prayer. There’s a joy in communicating with God so if you don’t communicate with God then you’re communicating with your problem.  Let me say that again if you’re not communicating with God you’re communicating with your trouble.  You cannot commune with your problem or commune with your trouble and have joy.  There’s joy in the presence of God. When you spend time with God, you’re in his presence.  Psalms 16: 11 says:  You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. The bible didn’t say In Your presence is fullness of depression, worry, and sorrow. It says you will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. There’s joy in communing with God.   You can’t hang out with God and not have joy in your heart.  In his presence there is fullness of joy. “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Ps 122:1). If you’re complaining before the Lord then you’re not going to have joy.  Why is joy so important? First of all, joy is a source of strength. We know this famous phrase from scripture that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Nehemiah 8:10 says “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” I love that: “Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food and drink; and share it with those who don’t have anything: This day is holy to God. Don’t feel bad. The joy of  God is your strength!” Joy is connected to strength. Just have joy and yes it will be your strength.   Receive it with joy.  What does the joy of the Lord is my strength mean?  How can we apply it to our daily lives? Nehemiah 8 10 says do not sorrow; that’s a choice.  Do not sorrow for the joy of the Lord is your strength.  People burn out and we hear a lot about that, well, I’m just burned out.  That’s because you’re not living from his Joy.  So many people have burned out on life, or they go through seasons of burnout.  Why?  Because they’re trying to live in their own strength rather than the joy of the Lord which is their strength.  You can’t live a better life when you try to live life from your own strength.  It’s going to be a tough life and that’s why people are saying ‘I just don’t know what to do.  If you only knew what I’m going through, I’m just so depressed, what about this and what if this happens’. You keep making what if statements because you’re living in your own strength but when you choose to live from his Joy, you can be joyful no matter what happens. I can have peace no matter what’s coming against me. It’s about what you believe.  He will fill you with all joy and peace.  Do you believe?  What do

The joy-filled life

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening,  August 27th  2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Every sunrise is a reminder that God has given us another gift – the gift of a brand-new day. But how should we live this day? Should we live it weighed down by worry, fear, and regret… or should we embrace it with gratitude, faith, and joy? According to the Bible, joy is not just a fleeting emotion – it’s a choice, an attitude, a daily posture that transforms ordinary living into extraordinary life. This daily posture of rejoicing is a better way to live because it is a life intentionally lived in alignment with God’s will, drawing strength and purpose from His perfect design and unfailing presence. In today’s message titled “The joy-filled life,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores what it truly means to live a life overflowing with joy. Let’s discover how a daily posture of rejoicing is not only possible, but actually the full, rich life God has always intended for us. Be blessed as you listen! The Christian is to live an extraordinary life God designed for us to enjoy. God wants you to rejoice.   God wants you to be full of Joy.  God wants you to celebrate. We are not forcing something on God because it’s his desire for you and me to rejoice every single day because there are benefits of living a life full of joy. I feel like praying for people for a greater revelation of the potential that we have, the access to what God wants.  This isn’t something   God doesn’t want us to have.  We’re not forcing something on God here that he doesn’t want.  He is so desiring for this to happen in your life but sometimes we need to get the blinds off and the chains off and the religious baggage off and realise we’re created for this. We’re created to walk and talk with God and rejoice and be glad every single day. The bible says that this is the day that the Lord has made for us to rejoice and be glad in him. So it’s not TGIF (Thank God it’s Friday) but thank God for everyday hallelujah.  The bible says “Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24). “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4) “Rejoice always” (1 Thessalonians 5:16). Joy is a choice, so Joy is not the same thing as happiness. Those two are different. The word happiness comes from the word hap and the word hap means circumstance.  It’s another word for circumstance, so happiness is based on your circumstances.  Life is up and down with circumstances so you cannot be happy all the time because circumstances are not always good all the time, but joy is something that you can have all the time. It’s 100% of your choice to access that because joy is a fruit of the Spirit.  If you are a born-again Christian, then let me remind you that when you got born again all the fruit of the spirit were deposited inside you:  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control are all inside you, so you can tap into the fruit of the Spirit.  It’s in your spirit.   “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:27-28). This is a passage that most of us know. So God created man.  How did he create him? In his own image.  This is so important for us to get hold of.   In the image of God, he created him male and female he created them.  Then God blessed them and God said to them be fruitful and multiply.  We love that part, those of us who are married, be fruitful, be multiplied and fill the Earth and subdue it, have dominion. So, I want to say to you today that we’ve been created in the image of God, you’ve not been created in somebody else’s image, and you’ve been fearfully and wonderfully made and God says I want you to have dominion because you’re blessed. That makes me rejoice and be full of Joy and I hope so are you. I want you to subdue the Earth, in other words I want you to fill the Earth with the image that you’ve been created in.  Who is in you is greater than whatever is coming against you, and God says I want the power of God that’s in you to be flowing out from you.  As a New Covenant believer, we have the ability to do this because of the image that we’ve been created in, and how the last Adam, Jesus Christ, came to restore what the first Adam blew. Aren’t you glad that we’ve been delivered from The Adams Family? Hallelujah. Thank God we’ve been delivered into God’s family and that we are sons and daughters and we are living in his presence because we’ve been created in the image of God. It’s in him that we live and move and have our being.  So, no matter what’s going on in your day today, Psalm 118:4 says that “This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice, and we will be glad in it”.  This is the day we will do what?  We will rejoice and be glad in it because he made this day for us to do exactly that. This is not a day for us to be depressed.  It’s not a day for us to be filled with fear.  He said I made this day for you so that you can respond to

The rewards of our choices

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening,  August 20th  2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Every choice we make… every word we speak… every act of obedience or disobedience, carries eternal weight. The Bible tells us that God will repay each person according to what they have done. That means with every choice we make in our work and service, we are either moving closer to God’s reward or further away from it. Nothing goes unnoticed by God. When we give our best as unto the Lord, there is a reward stored up. But when we grow careless, cutting corners and living only for self, we risk losing what could have been gained. This is not a call to fear—but to faithfulness. A reminder that every effort made in Christ’s name is noticed by heaven. In today’s message titled “The rewards of our choices,” Evangelist Paul Acquah shares on how to live for what truly lasts. Be blessed as you listen! Giving your best will be greatly rewarded because God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” The bible instructs believers to work with all their heart, not just for human masters, but as if working for the Lord, with the promise of receiving an inheritance as a reward. Whatever good thing you do, you will receive from the Lord. Ephesians chapter 6 says:  “Employees, be obedient to them that are your employers according to the flesh (that is, masters, physical masters or managers) with fear and trembling in singleness of your heart as onto Christ.   So the bible says, ” to serve them, be obedient to them as if you were doing it to Jesus”. See your master as Jesus, with a sincerity of your heart, being absolutely sincere about what you’re doing.   He says: “Not with eyeservice” not when the other person is  looking, ” as men-pleasers”, you’re not trying to please them but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will.  Doing service as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does the same shall he receive of the Lord whether he be bond or free” (Ephesians 6:5- 8, Emphasis mine). Here’s what that means: It says I’m to be obedient and I’m not to work just because he’s watching or to please him. I’m to work as if God is my manager. I’m to work as if Jesus Christ is the authority over my life on that job. I’m to work, and I’m to labour, I’m to give it my best, not do my best when he’s watching, but to do my best because the Lord Jesus Christ is my Saviour. I’m His ambassador, I’m His representative, and I’m working for Him.  “With good will, doing service as to the Lord and not to men”. The principle is this: that wherever God places me, I am to give it my best as if I’m serving the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. We’re talking about the way you and I live every day. You get up tomorrow morning, you’re going to work, you’re going to do a good job, best you can, or you’re going to play around at it? And you’re going to complain about it. And you’re going to get by with as little as you can. You know what? You’re losing your reward every single day. Mark this down, every single day we’re either losing or we’re gaining reward. God said it. I didn’t say it. He’s the one who brought up the whole issue of rewards and look for yourself in the bible how many times He talks about them. Rewards are important to God.  Do You know why they’re important to God? Because He loves you and because He wants to reward you.  He will reward you in this life and He delights one of these days out in eternity with us standing before Him and Him saying to us, “Well done, good and faithful servants”.That’s what I want to hear my friend, and I hope so do you.  Be the best at whatever you do, God is going to reward you.  Whatever we do in the will of God, He’s going to reward us for that because he  desires to reward us.  It doesn’t make any difference what you do. It doesn’t make any difference where you do it. The issue is, what is the bottom-line motive for which you’re doing it? When our motivation is sincere and it’s pure and we’re doing it in the name of Jesus to the glory of God, whether it’s washing dishes in a kitchen or it’s preaching the gospel, it doesn’t make any difference. When you’re doing your best, God is going to reward you. And the issue is not to be seen, not the acclaim of people, but you do it because you’re doing the will of God. You want to bring Him glory and honour. If you’re going to wash dishes, wash them well. If you’re going to preach the gospel, do it the best you can. Don’t

Goodwill service attracts God’s reward

Man holds orange paper sign with 'kindness' text, promoting positive message.

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening,  August 6th  2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Have you ever wondered what truly matters in the service we offer? Is it just about what we do, or is there something deeper God sees? In a world where actions are often measured by outward results and recognition, God calls us to something deeper. He looks beyond what we do – and focuses on the why behind our service. The Bible tells us in Colossians that when we work, we should do it “heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. ” You see, God looks past the surface and sees the motive behind each action. In today’s message titled “Goodwill service attracts God’s reward,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores how serving God with a sincere heart – not out of duty, pride, or pressure, but with goodwill – opens the door to God’s divine favour and eternal reward. Get ready to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired to serve not just with your hands, but with your heart. Be blessed as you listen! There are rewards that come from serving God wholeheartedly. The Bible talks about God’s promise to reward those who serve Him with good will and makes us understand that serving with a right heart and attitude is crucial for receiving God’s blessings. The word of God teaches the importance of serving others and doing good deeds as unto the Lord. This means serving with a sincere desire to please God, not for personal gain or recognition. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24). This text of scripture is telling us that  our work should be done with the same dedication and effort as if we were serving Christ directly. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”. God looks at the heart and motives behind our actions. While outward actions are important, God also considers the motives behind our actions. Serving with a genuine desire to please God, rather than for selfish reasons, is seen as a way to honour God and align with His will.  We are to serve with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: The Bible says don’t serve with eyeservice as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will. You may say I’m working in a hostile environment; how can I serve with good will. I can assure you that God can get you beyond that, God can open doors for you.  God can do things that no man would do.   If you do good will and you do it as to the Lord and not unto man, God will promote you. God rewards and promotes those who serve with good will. Those who serve others as unto the Lord with good will from the heart will shine like the sun.  “Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear” (Matthew 13:43).  Serving with good will brings joy and fulfilment, as it aligns our actions with God’s purposes and reflects His character. The Lord said to serve with good will. That means  we are to serve our employers without grumbling and complaining.  “Employees, be obedient to them that are your employers according to the flesh with fear and trembling in singleness of your heart as onto Christ.  Not with eyeservice as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will.  Doing service as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does the same shall he receive of the Lord whether he be bond or free” (Ephesians 6:5- 8).  Examine your heart attitude as you serve in any capacity. “Good will” implies a genuine, heartfelt attitude. Our service should be sincere, reflecting our love for God. It’s not enough to just do a good job; the attitude with which we do it is important. God has called us to serve with genuine kindness and sincerity, not merely out of obligation or fear.  Someone might say, “I can’t have a good attitude when my manager isn’t a good person.” The bible didn’t say serving with good will as long as our bosses or managers are wonderful. It is implied that this is supposed to be our conduct even toward those managers who are less than perfect. How can that be? It’s because our attitude is not determined by others. This is a total shock to most people today, but it’s true. Others influence us and present us with opportunities, but how we feel and act is our choice. Feelings and emotions are choices; you don’t feel them naturally. You can choose them. Most people don’t realise these are choices. Believers have the capacity to serve with “good will”  because  it’s associated with the fruit of the Spirit, which includes kindness and goodness.  “ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).  We can choose to serve with good will because of the fruit of the spirit which is in us as born again Christians. This fruit is the product of the Holy Spirit, not our efforts . The “fruit” is not produced by the believer but by the Holy Spirit, as believers live in union with Him.  The Spirit produces all nine of these things simultaneously and constantly. “But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control”. Our part is to yield and trust; God’s part is to produce the fruit. However,

Promotion based on the heart

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening,  July 30th 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Have you ever wondered what truly captures God’s attention? In a world that praises appearances and achievements, what does it take to rise higher in God’s eyes? Throughout the Bible, promotion and exaltation by God are consistently tied not to status, appearance, or outward accomplishments, but to the condition of one’s heart. While people are often impressed by external qualities, Scripture emphasises that God looks beyond appearances, searching for hearts that are pure, humble, and fully devoted to Him. So, what does God see in your heart? Is it humility? Obedience? Or courage? In today’s message titled “Promotion based on the heart,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores the fact that true advancement in God’s sight begins inwardly. God promotes those whose hearts align with His purposes and character. Be blessed as you listen! God looks at the heart.  The Lord knows your heart. “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”        (1 Samuel 16:7). The LORD does not see as man does. For man sees the outward appearance, but the LORD sees the heart.” What’s your heart attitude and relationship with God?  God looks at your heart to promote you. keep your heart sensitive to Him. The giants in your life won’t stand a chance as you keep trusting God and being loyal to him. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” ( 2 Chronicles 16:9). God is looking at your heart and if he can find you loyal to him, he will promote you. The word “loyal” in this text of scripture doesn’t mean, sinless or problem free. It means someone whose heart is fully committed, completely belonging to the Lord; someone who is seeking God with their whole heart.  God is actively  and persistently looking over the earth and ready to intervene and demonstrate His strength for those who are devoted or loyal to Him and then promote them.  God will promote you because you are loyal to him. You don’t have to be a silver vessel to be promoted, just a surrendered one. It’s not your ability; it’s your availability God is interested in. God is looking for people who will make Him first in their lives. Your response to the Lord right now ought to be, “Look no further! Here I am! I’m turning my life over to You with my whole heart.” If you will genuinely do that, you’ll be promoted. You’ll see God’s blessing come to pass in your life. Once you have begun to seek the Lord and He releases His anointing on your life, you are like a cork. They could put you on the bottom of a lake, but you will still rise to the surface. It doesn’t matter what they do. You’re like cream— always rising to the top! If you seek God with your whole heart, the eyes of the Lord will find you.  “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). He’s looking for a person like that. He’ll pass over everybody in your nation, village, and city just to find you. Once He locates you and releases His power into your life, He’ll cause you to be drawn to the top. God will release His blessing through you into this world. It’s just a matter of time. Prepare your heart to seek the Lord. He is not looking for people with talent, education, or natural abilities. He’s not against such people, but neither is He for them. What God is looking for is a heart that seeks after Him. God promotes people based on their heart. If you hunger and thirst after righteousness, you will be filled.  To hunger and thirst for righteousness ultimately means that one yearns for God.  Those who long for the Lord—the true King of kings, and the Lord of lords, not a false god of their own imaginations—will find Him and be filled to overflowing with joy, peace, happiness, and true contentment.  “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). You won’t only be satisfied and have your needs met, but you’ll also be filled with the power, presence, and provision of God. He will pour you out and make you a blessing to other people. God is looking to promote people. God looks at the heart. Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, stay faithful and God will promote you. “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” ( 2 Chronicles 16:9). Let’s relate this to the workplace. God looks at the heart and rewards or promotes us accordingly. The bible is instructing servants or employees to serve their masters or employers faithfully, with a good attitude. Some people might think, “Why should I do that? They don’t care and will never notice my attitude or performance anyway.”  The Bible made it clear in this text of scripture that the reason for diligence is not the recognition of man but the recognition of

Positioned for Promotion

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening,  July 23rd  2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Have you ever wondered what it really takes to rise to the next level in life? In a world constantly striving for recognition, where the climb to the top often feels like an endless race, the idea of promotion can seem entirely dependent on human effort and earthly connections. We’re told to network, hustle, and build our own empires. But what if there’s a different path to elevation? You see, the Bible reveals a divine truth: God is the ultimate promoter. And to understand promotion in life as God sees it is to recognise that it is not earned, manipulated, or granted by human hand, but gifted by the sovereign Lord. In today’s message titled “Positioned for Promotion,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores a powerful, often overlooked truth from the very heart of scripture. A truth that challenges our conventional understanding of success and invites us into a deeper relationship with the ultimate source of all authority. Be blessed as you listen! “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.[7] But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalms 75:6-7). The passage is telling  us that promotion  will not come from the east or the west or the south, it comes from God.  A child of God mustn’t seek the favour of powerful people in an attempt to selfishly advance their own careers or positions. We need to understand that true advancement and position do not originate from human efforts or earthly powers, but are determined by God.   No matter how powerful or influential one might be, or from where their influence may seem to originate, ultimate promotion and authority rest with God. He has the authority to humble those who are arrogant and to promote the humble. All authority, promotion and advancement are ultimately from God. “But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another”. We are to work “as to the Lord and not to men” and leave the outcome of our lives in His hands.  God will reward and promote you.  “Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (Colossians 3:23). “Heartily” means from the heart.  The New International Readers Version translates this verse as “Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord, not for human masters.  “Employees, be obedient to them that are your employers according to the flesh with fear and trembling in singleness of your heart as onto Christ.  Not with eyeservice as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will.  Doing service as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth the same shall he receive of the Lord whether he be bond or free”  (Ephesians 6:5- 8). This text of scripture is encouraging employees to approach their work with respect, sincerity, and a heart dedicated to serving God through their labour, just as they would serve Christ. Let’s relate this to your work place. Do you take long breaks than expected of you?  Do you go to work late? Do you leave earlier than required? Do you take things from your workplace? Employees are to serve their employers genuinely from the heart.  Not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; We should not only do what’s right or expected when our supervisors or managers are watching but also do just as well when no one is watching. Failure to do so means we are man-pleasers. Our work should be unto Christ and not unto man (Ephesians 6:7} We need to understand the importance of working diligently and with integrity, not just for the approval of employers, but as an act of worship and obedience to God, with the understanding that God will reward our efforts and promote us. Those who have two standards, or two speeds of work (one for when they are being watched and one for other times), are liars and thieves. They are stealing from their employers and intentionally giving a false impression. That is not somebody with a spirit of excellence and I’m telling you this is one of the very reasons that you aren’t being promoted because going back again to Psalms chapter 75, promotion doesn’t just come from your employer it comes from the Lord.  God is the one that puts up one and sets down another. Serve with sincerity and wholehearted dedication, avoiding mere outward show or “eyes-service” to please others.  Give your employer your very best work. Don’t just work hard when he or she is around but do your work as unto Christ.  The ultimate motivation for this wholehearted dedication is to honour God, performing our duties as if serving Christ directly.  God is looking for such people to promote them. Remember, whatever good thing you do, God will repay you, he will promote you. And employers, treat your employees right, for we all have the same Master in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him. I am NOT going to promote people who aren’t doing service as to the Lord and they’re just doing things only when they are being looked at.Somebody says well, how would you know? I don’t know how to completely explain this, but you know how people work for you.  You notice when people go the extra mile.  You notice when people give more than what they’re asked for.  You can tell the attitude, you can see the spirit of excellence and in contrast to that, you can see a slothful spirit in people. When you have an excellent spirit, it’s just like taking a cork to the bottom of the lake.  I guarantee that it will rise
