Privacy Policy for CIAM

This Privacy Policy describes how the CIAM mobile app (“the App,” “we,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use it. CIAM is developed to support the ministry of Evangelist Paul Acquah and Christ Is All Ministries (CIAM), pulling sermons, devotionals, and articles from paulacquah.com and ciamint.com.

1. Information We Collect
Account Information
If you create an account to save your place, bookmark content, or access full sermons, devotionals, and articles, we collect:
- Your name (optional, if provided at sign-up)
- Your email address
This is handled through Firebase Authentication (a service provided by Google). We do not see or store your password ourselves — Firebase manages that securely.
You can browse most of the App as a guest without creating an account. An account is only required to open full content.
Push Notification Token
If you allow notifications, the App registers a device token so we can notify you when new sermons, devotionals, or articles are published. This token is stored securely and used only to deliver these notifications — it is not linked to any other personal information beyond, optionally, the email of the account it’s associated with (if you’re logged in when you enable notifications).
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Payment information: The App’s “Give” feature opens your device’s browser to complete a donation on our website. We never see, collect, or store any payment or card information within the App itself.
- Precise location: The App does not request or collect your GPS location.
- Browsing history outside the App: We don’t track what you do outside of CIAM.
Content You Submit
If you submit a prayer request or a contact form message through the App, we collect whatever information you choose to include (typically your name, email, and message) so our team can respond to you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Let you log in and access saved content across sessions
- Send you notifications about new content, if you’ve opted in
- Respond to prayer requests and messages you submit
- Maintain and improve the App
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on a small number of third-party services to function:

We don’t control these third parties’ own data practices beyond what’s described here — each operates under its own privacy policy.
4. Content Caching (Offline Reading)
To let you read previously-viewed sermons, devotionals, and articles without an internet connection, the App stores a copy of that content directly on your device. This cached content stays on your device only — it is never uploaded anywhere or shared with us or anyone else.
5. Data Retention
- Account information is kept as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
- Push tokens are kept as long as notifications remain enabled on your device, and are removed if you uninstall the App or disable notifications.
- Cached content stays on your device and is cleared if you clear the App’s storage or uninstall it.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at paulacquahabc123@yahoo.co.uk so we can remove it.
7. Your Rights
You can:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data

8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including relying on Firebase’s industry-standard security practices for authentication and data storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
