Don’t be deceived

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, February 4th, 2026, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK We live in an era defined by “information explosion,” where we are more connected and more susceptible than ever before. Our world is saturated with ideas that sound wise, progressive, and empowering – philosophies that promise fulfilment, success, and enlightenment. Yet beneath their appealing surface, many are built on a foundation of shifting sand, rooted not in eternal truth but in the fleeting trends of human thought and the elemental principles of a world at odds with its Creator. Deception doesn’t always come dressed as lies – sometimes, it wears the face of reason. But God’s truth never changes. His wisdom stands firm when human wisdom fails. So, how can you discern hollow philosophy from eternal truth? Where can you anchor your mind when every current tries to carry you away? In today’s message titled “Don’t be deceived,” Evangelist Paul Acquah encourages you to stand firm in the truth of God’s word, guard your faith, and let the wisdom of God guide your life. Be blessed as you listen! “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ” (Colossians 2; 8). The bible is warning us to guard ourselves against empty, deceptive philosophies that are based on limited human reasoning. “Empty deceit” means “high-sounding nonsense.” The words literally mean “empty illusion”. The wisdom or philosophy of this world is foolishness compared to God’s wisdom. This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, 24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord” (Jeremaih 9:23-24). Intelligence, power, and riches can all give human beings the illusion of being in control—but the illusion always comes to an end. God considers our wisdom to be foolish. That’s how superior God’s thoughts are to ours. Isaiah 55:8-9 says, ” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”.” God’s divine perspective and plans are greatly higher than human understanding. God does not require us to understand His will, just obey it, even if it seems unreasonable. Even when we do not comprehend what the Lord is doing in our lives, He wants us to trust Him. His wisdom and perspective are far greater than our own. Even when we cannot discern His methods or timing, we must trust Him because His way is the best. Human methods, logic, and reasoning are limited, whereas divine ways are perfect. My friend, don’t be deceived. We need to trust in a wisdom that transcends human logic and that’s God’s wisdom. The Bible is very critical of man’s wisdom. That might lead some to think that salvation is only for those who are less than smart. However, that is certainly not the case. The truths of God are very logical. However, God’s truths use a system of logic entirely different from man’s. God’s wisdom is based on our faith that there is a God who loves us and desires only the best for us. Man’s wisdom tries to understand things apart from God. Man’s wisdom says to stockpile all we can in hard times. That would be accurate if there was no God and we were only dependent on ourselves. But God says to give of what we have and He will bless us and give us more. “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38). “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:7-9). God’s way is better, but the natural man cannot see this wisdom. Man doesn’t believe there is a God or trust Him to intervene. Christians are not supposed to be mindless. God gave us our brains and wants us to use them, but we need to factor into every evaluation the truths of God as revealed to us in His Word. Doing this will cause the so called-intellectuals, who don’t believe there is a God, to call us idiots because we believe some things by faith, but who is the real fool? God said, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalms 14:1 and 53:1). There is no greater fool than those who deny the existence of God because they can’t see Him. This is the type of wisdom that the bible is speaking against. The world’s philosophy is vain and deceitful. Paul warned the Colossians to guard themselves against empty, deceptive philosophies that were based on limited human reasoning. The bible, talking about Jesus in Colossians 2:9 says that “ For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” It may be impossible for us to comprehend with our little peanut brain how Jesus could be totally human and totally divine at the same time But that is the clear teaching of Scripture, and we must accept it, even if we do not understand it. Jesus said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9). The bible says, In
Don’t Be Misled

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, January 28th, 2026, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK In a world brimming with noise, countless voices are vying to define who you are. Culture attempts to shape you, experiences influence you, and feelings seek to interpret you. Yet, not every voice speaks the truth. Colossians 2:8 cautions us against being ensnared by ideas that seem attractive but lack true substance. This message is more than just a warning; it’s a powerful reminder to stay vigilant, to remain grounded, and to discern the difference between what merely sounds correct and what is genuinely true. Remember, your worth is not dictated by the world’s opinions, but by how God sees you. In today’s message titled “Don’t Be Misled,” Evangelist Paul Acquah invites you to open your eyes, guard your mind, and step confidently into your true identity — the one shaped not by feelings or circumstances, but by the unchanging truth of God’s Word. Be blessed as you listen! “Beware lest anyone [e]cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ”. (Colossians 2:8). See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits[a] of the world, and not according to Christ. (ESV) The word captive in Colossians chapter 2 verse 8 means to have a noose around your neck led naked through the streets. So, the bible is saying do not be taken captive, do not be led around naked with this world’s philosophy. Don’t build your foundation on human tradition. Stop being captured by how the world sees you. The basic philosophies that tell you whether you’re successful, whether you’re healthy, whether you’re smart, whether you have a good marriage or you’re a good mom or you’re a good dad or you’re a good businessman. Stop listening to the definitions of the world and what they say you are and what you have and own. Stop believing philosophies that say what you have done, what you possess, how success and failure look like. Stop letting that be your identity. Real identity is you coming to a place that you agree with the way God sees you even if you don’t feel it. You may not feel holy today but identity in Christ is saying you know what, it’s not how I feel in my flesh, it’s not how I woke up and I felt discouraged, depressed, or anxious. That’s not the real me, I agree to see myself the way God sees me and that’s my identity in Christ. There are a lot of things that we think are normal, but the bible says they are not normal. It’s not normal to be anxious. Philippians 4:6 (NKJV), commands believers to replace worry with prayer and thankfulness. The command is. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”. And there’s a promisefor those who follow this command. What’s the promise?Following this command, Philippians 4:7 promises that “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. Thisis a call to surrender burdens to God rather than trying to control outcomes. Worry knocking at your door is a signal to pray rather than a reason to panic. Turn your anxieties into prayers, using thankfulness to shift focus from problems to faith, and trusting that God cares for personal needs. Therefore, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:6-7). It’s not normal to be sick and remain sick. James 5:14-16 tells us that those who are sick should call for the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. This text of scripture promises that the “prayer of faith” will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven If God wants you to be sick, He wouldn’t have asked this question: Is anyone among you sick? (James 5:14–15) outlines a specific process for believers experiencing sickness: Call for the Elders: The sick person is instructed to call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church. Anoint with Oil: The elders are to pray over the person and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. Prayer of Faith: The text of scripture promises that “the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up”. Confession and Forgiveness: If the person has committed sins, they will be forgiven. It’ s not normal to live in fear, because perfect love cast out all fear, and also God has not given you a spirit of fear. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” ( 1 John 4:18). “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” ( 2Timothy 1:7) It’s not normal to live a defeated life. See what God says about you. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29;11). “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should
Don’t let the world take you captive

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, January 21st, 2026, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Every day, a thousand voices compete for our attention. From the screens in our pockets to the billboards on our streets, the world is telling us who to be, what to value, and where to find our worth. But somewhere in the midst of all these voices, a timeless warning speaks through Scripture: “See to it that no one takes you captive.” Not captive by force, but captive by a mindset. Not trapped by walls, but trapped by a worldview that ignores the King of Kings. As followers of Christ, we must remain alert, guarding our hearts and minds against the subtle drift away from the truth. This is because the battle for our faith often begins in our thinking. Today, we stop drifting. Today, we stand guard. It’s time to break free from the traditions of men and ground ourselves in the truth of Christ in today’s message titled “Don’t let the world take you captive.” Colossians 2: 8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits[a] of the world, and not according to Christ. (ESV) Another version, the NIV says, 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world rather than on Christ. The word captive means to have a rope around your neck and be led naked through the streets. So, the bible is saying do not be taken captive, do not be led around naked with this world’s philosophy. We need to be on guard against the “philosophy” or mindset of this world. One of the ways that the enemy lies and tries to attack is through just basic tradition of this world. Basic philosophy of this world will tell you that this is what family looks like, . this is what marriage can look like, it can’t look like this, adultery is normal, divorce is normal, hey if your kids go wild it’s normal. If you live in debt and die in debt it’s normal, lying to get what you want is normal, bribery and corruption is normal, because everyone is doing it. You must have sex before marriage, fornication is normal and so on. The bible is saying that the way Satan tries to take us captive is through philosophy. Philosophy is basically just a system and way of thinking. It also means “plausible but faulty or misleading argumentation. This is describing systems of thought rather than just individual thoughts. Philosophies are entire ways or systems of thinking. So, the bible says be careful that you’re not taking captive through hollow and deceitful systems and ways of thinking which depend on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. The KJV says it this way: Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Chris (KJV). We are all tempted every single day, in a sense, to be taken captive by philosophy and empty deceit. Of course, we would be fooling ourselves if we didn’t realise there is an adversary today, who wants to deceive us. We must be on guard against Satan’s strategies to pull us away from Christ. To beware is to be cautious and on your guard; It communicates the idea of a soldier on guard duty being on the alert because of the enemy. This is stressing the point that we are in a spiritual battle. We Christians are in constant conflict with the kingdom of Satan and all his forces. We cannot go to sleep, go on leave, or get a discharge from this battle. There must be a continual vigil. If we don’t maintain a constant vigil against the devil, he can take us captive and spoil us of the great riches we have in Christ. What the bible is warning against here is not just individual thoughts that are wrong but philosophies such as evolution, humanism, materialism, and anything else that violates Christian philosophy. Everyone has a philosophy. Pessimism and optimism are philosophies. Every culture has a certain outlook or philosophy, and these philosophies dictate people’s responses. Philosophies program people to respond in predictable ways. If people want to change their responses, they must change their philosophies. There’re basic philosophies of the world that will try to take you captive. They will say oh well, yeah that’s just the way it is, and you’ll receive these attacks of the enemy because everybody thinks it’s normal. When you have foundations in Christ it completely begins to change that because you realise and say ‘wait a minute, that’s not what I’m built on. That’s not who is inside of me’. Many modern philosophies are in opposition to the Scriptures. The rise of psychology in our modern society has produced a philosophy that is opposed to true Christianity. Generally, psychology places the blame for people’s individual actions on others instead of on themselves. At first, this seems comforting, because it rids us of personal guilt and responsibility for our actions, but it also robs us of our God-given authority. If others are our problem, we are doomed to be victims for the rest of our lives, because we can change neither the past nor others. The truth of God’s Word reveals that we always have the choice of whether to become losers or winners. God gave us that choice. “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19). Satan cannot violate your choice, and God will not violate it. Haven’t you heard of people claiming that their “dysfunctional” families were what caused
Speaking in Agreement with God

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, January14th, 2026, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK Have you ever noticed how easy it is to talk about what you see, what you feel, and what you’re facing – yet forget to say what God has already spoken? You see, every great move of God begins with agreement – agreement with His Word, His will, and His ways. And to walk in the fullness of what God has planned for your life, you must learn to see things as He sees them and speak as He speaks. Life responds to words, and God has designed your mouth to become a channel for His power. When you believe what God says and declare it, you bring His truth into manifestation in your world. God invites us to agree with Him, even when circumstances disagree. This is the essence of faith: to believe and to speak in harmony with God. Get ready to discover how agreeing with God and boldly declaring His Word becomes the doorway through which real and lasting change takes place in today’s sermon titled “Speaking in Agreement with God”. “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak” ( 2 Corinthians 4:13) Here, Paul was speaking about having the same kind of faith in God as the Old Testament prophets. Paul was saying that his faith in God caused him to speak and proclaim the truth of the Gospel, just as the O.T. prophets’ faith caused them to speak. We are the agents by which God causes changes on the earth. We must agree with God and say what he says in order to accomplish his will on this earth. It’s not what’s going on in the world that matters. God is saying, if you’ll turn your seeing and your hearing to what I’m saying about a situation, and agree with it, then that’s the means by which I can bring it to pass. What can we do to affect what’s going on? We can change situations. Let me refer you to Ezekiel chapter 37. I know most of you are familiar with this passage about dry bones, but I want to bring it in the context of what you’re seeing and hearing in the news. Maybe it’s with your finances or with something in your physical body. Maybe you’ve got a negative report from a doctor. Or maybe it’s something about your children or your grandchildren that’s really causing your heart to be troubled because what you see and what you hear are different from what God says, but the good news that I have for you is we can change that. We don’t have to yield to what we see and what we hear as the final outcome of what’s going to happen. We are the children of God, and we’re the ones on earth that God has empowered and given authority or delegated his authority to bring his will on the earth. But he’s got to find somebody on earth that agrees with what he says in his word or by his spirit and to agree with that and to declare that, to pray that, to decree that else it’s not going to happen. We wouldn’t see the change that we’re supposed to see. We can prophesy into the evil, we can prophesy into all the storms, we can make a difference if we say what God says. Ezekiel 37 verse 1 says “The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Here’s this valley of bones which were all disconnected. and the next verse says they were very dry. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed, they were very dry. You look at these bones and there’s not much hope for life in all these bones and at the same time, they’re disconnected, they’re not connected and they’re very dry and then this is powerful, verse 3 God is asking Ezekiel a question. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Good answer: it’s like many of us today, there’re situations in our nations, situations in our families, situations in our finances, and our health and it looks dislocated, it looks very dry. But then God is asking you and me today a question: Can these bones live, can this dead situation live, can I turn this impossible situation, can it become possible and my answer is God you know. What Ezekiel was doing was basically turning his eyes to the Lord. He turned his attention from what looked to be impossible: these bones were very dry, they were disconnected and he said all right Lord you know. So now I’m going to stop looking at what I see with my natural eye, what I hear with my natural ear, and I’m going to look to you and whatever you say about these bones, that’s what I’m going to say. Let’s look at verse 4 :Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord”. So my friends, this is the answer, this is the answer to dead, dry things, This is the answer to dead relationships, this is the answer to all the problems that you are facing in every area of your life. And that includes the different areas that make up your existence: including spiritual, physical & mental health, relationships, career, purpose, finances, personal and spiritual growth. This is the answer, you and I and the church must prophesy to that which is dead and prophesy only what God says.
Break free from anxiety

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, December 31st , 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Have you ever found yourself lying awake at night, your mind racing with thoughts of what tomorrow might bring? If so, you are not alone – many people carry unseen worries that weigh heavily on their hearts, even in moments meant for rest. Anxiety has become a silent companion for many. It whispers fears about tomorrow, magnifies today’s challenges, and convinces hearts to expect the worst. But anxiety was never meant to control our thoughts or shape our future. God calls us to live in peace, not in fear – rooted in His promises and secure in His plans. Today’s message by Evangelist Paul Acquah titled “Break Free from Anxiety” is an invitation to release worry, reject fearful thoughts about the future, and rediscover the peace that comes from trusting God completely. Prepare your heart to step out of anxiety and into freedom. Be blessed as you listen! “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” ( Jere 29:11). You don’t have to be afraid of the future no matter what the enemy tries to throw at you, I’m telling you right now, God is on your side today, you don’t have to be worried about the future because your future is secured. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). He says he had good things planned beforehand that you would walk in them. Therefore, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). You do not have to be anxious about what’s going on right now nor let those anxious thoughts begin to paint a picture of the future. But you can say Lord I speak peace over this and that peace guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. So, as you go about your day you can actually enter into a rest no matter how busy you are, or the different issues that you are dealing with, or the different situations that are happening maybe in all these different spheres of your life. These things are happening, but you can be at rest. Why? Because the peace of God begins to be that shield, and because you know that it’s going to be okay. In Matthew chapter 11 verse 28 the bible says Jesus was talking to his disciples and the people and he said come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest. Another version says come to me all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Jesus is not saying go and lay down your head and take a nap. Maybe today you feel heavy laden, you just feel like there’s so much I’m having to hold up and he says come to me all you who are weary, all that you’ve been labouring, all of you that have a weight on you and I will give you rest. Can you find different counsel and encouragement and advice on how to deal with situations? Absolutely and I believe God can give you wise counsellors. In fact, the word of God says we have wisdom when we have a multitude of counsellors. But I’m telling you right now who you have around you is important. You don’t want to be having this heavy burden. Maybe there’s a burden with your marriage and so you are anxious about it, and of course the enemy is trying to paint a picture of the future. Then you go to a friend and talk about your husband, my husband is like this and that and our finances are bad. Then the friend tells you, well he’s just an idiot. I’m telling you right now that’s not a wise counsellor. You need people around you who will point you to the word of God and say okay stop whining and complaining what does the word of God say, what promise are you standing on? What can you be thankful for today? In the midst of anything that’s negative, choose something to be thankful for today, that’s what a wise counsellor looks like. “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest”. I’ve found that when I spend time with the Lord, just taking time and I’ll do this at a specific time with the Lord but at the same time I’ll do it while I’m doing other things. I’m telling you, you can have rest and come to him a thousand times in the day. It doesn’t have to be just your 30 minutes in the morning before you get ready for work or school. No, I’m saying that you come to him all the time. He says I will give you rest, that means having many things to do in the day or in the busyness of the day, usually for me. it’s between meetings. As I’m running from one meeting to the other, I’m saying all right thank you Lord and I keep asking him for wisdom and for rest. That means I’m making sure that I’m not trying to take on the day or the responsibilities and trying to do things in my own power or my own abilities. This is because it’s really easy for us as humans to take on the day and we try to conquer it with our own talents and gifts and of course the enemy is right there to tell us that we’re failing, so we must invite God into our day. We must invite that rest
Don’t fall in the anxiety trap

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, December 24th, 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. The weight of expectations, the uncertainty of tomorrow, and the constant noise of worry echoing in our minds can easily get us caught in the trap of anxiety. What sometimes begins as a simple concern can quickly turn into a trap – one that steals our joy, clouds our thinking, and pulls our hearts away from trust in God. But God never intended for us to live imprisoned by fear. When we bring everything to God with a thankful heart, His peace – a peace beyond understanding – stands guard over our hearts and minds. In today’s message titled “Don’t Fall in the Anxiety Trap,” Evangelist Paul Acquah teaches on how God’s Word calls us to step out of fear, lay our burdens before Him, and walk in the peace that only He can give. Be blessed as you listen! Can you stop yourself from falling into the depression or anxiety trap? Yes of course. I want us to go to Philippians chapter 4 verses 6 and 7. This is a powerful text of scripture because it has some powerful principles. It says: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. I use these verses on the go so many times because we have a lot on our plates as far as our daily routines are concerned. As you’re doing things, and for me, obviously the ministry and missions and things that we’re doing in our churches which we absolutely love, but there’re so many things that you do on the go and these verses keep you going. It says, ‘Do not be anxious about anything’. This is one of the things that we can struggle with on a day-to-day basis. You’ve got lots of things on your plate, you’ve got lots of things on your to-do list. Even some of us have ‘my want-to-do list’. So, we have two lists, ‘my to-do list’ and there’s ‘my want to do list’, and many other things and that’s just part of responsibility in life. You may stop working on your to do list, but you may at the same time working on ‘your want to do list’. So, you’ve got all kinds of things to do, and some of you have extreme demands. Maybe there’re physical things that are going on in your life. Maybe there’re family issues or financial issues and all of them can have a voice. All of them can tell you what’s going to happen, and there can be anxiety that starts to come because we’re trying to do things in our own strength. We’re trying to figure things out, we’re trying to just keep all the balls going, and all the plates spinning but I want to tell you today that the word of God gives a command. Do not be anxious about anything, and when you think about it, he says, ‘anything’, so that means cast your burdens, all of them must come to the Lord. Then he says but in everything, so he says don’t be anxious about anything and then he uses this word but in everything. So, the scripture is saying not just some things are we supposed to hand to the Lord but everything. It’s not about I’ll give you these anxious thoughts, but I’ll keep these. No, he said do not be anxious about anything. So, we’re supposed to hand everything to the Lord, and he says and in everything by prayer and supplication. So, in everything: take all of that, take it to God by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. I believe that you have requests today. There’re requests about family and children and finances and you have requests about your future. You have requests about your marriage; you have questions about different things. The bible says take all of that, take everything, not just some of it, everything and give it to God with thanksgiving. Think about this aspect of thanksgiving and gratefulness and just how important it is to counteract anxiety with gratefulness. I tell you; that’s one of our weapons against anxiety. When we begin to get anxious, and we start to see everything as a negative: this is negative and that is negative and this is bad and that is bad, or how is this going to work and how is that going to work. Anxiety has a negativity towards it because it’s looking at all the bad or the incomplete or the question marks of things. And that’s what causes anxiety because we don’t have answers. When we have answers to things or when we have clarity, then we think it’s okay, it’s all right, I’ve got it, but it’s the anxiety of not knowing something that brings negativity. So, the way we cancel out negativity is with thanksgiving. The way we oppose anxiety is we say to ourselves, ‘you know what’, I don’t know when and I don’t know how and I don’t know who, and I don’t know why, but I know God. And so, father, I’m taking everything including natural, spiritual, physical and emotional, I take everything, and I give it to God with thanksgiving. We’re talking about everything: your marriage, your business, your children, you take everything to the Lord with thanksgiving. ‘God, I give you all of them today. I give you all of them because I know that you are well able, and I can have peace because it’s in your hands. What’s easy to do with anxiety is that we will take it back after we hand it to the Lord. It’s not just in everything give thanks, but it’s in everything at all
