God is a rewarder

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, September 17th 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Have you ever felt like your efforts go unnoticed? Like the good you do, the faith you hold onto, and the sacrifices you make are all for nothing? We all long for our lives to have meaning, for our struggles to have a purpose, and for our devotion to be acknowledged. But what if I told you that it is? That every act of faith, no matter how small, is seen? That the God we serve isn’t a distant, silent observer, but an active participant in our lives? This isn’t just about what we get as believers; it’s about the very nature of who He is. It’s about a God who sees you, who knows your heart, and who promises to honour every step you take toward Him. In today’s message titled “God is a rewarder,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores what it truly means to believe that God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Be blessed as you listen! God wants somebody to believe in him. God wants you to believe in him, John 14:1says, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me”. “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You” (Psalm 9:10). Most of us have heard that when we get to heaven, we’re going to have rewards in heaven. But you can have rewards on earth as well. “Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.” So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life” (Mark 10:28-30). The Bible specifically says that we must believe certain things about God. There are two things it says you must believe about him. So, if God says You Must Believe certain things about him, I think that’s very important so let’s find where in the Bible those two things are and what they are. let’s go to Hebrews 11 and verse 6. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. It says without faith it’s impossible to please him for he who comes to God must….. It didn’t say, it’s a good idea, or it’s a suggestion, or it’s an option. No, it says Those Who come to God must believe two things: believe that he is and that he’s a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. So, I think it’s important to understand if you come to God, you believe he is. He has not fallen out of his throne. Know that he is and he is a rewarder of those who seek him diligently. When Moses asked the question in Exodus 3: Who are you God? God said, ‘I am’. If we were to ask today, God who are you, we would receive the same response that Moses received, and God would answer ‘I am’. God would say I am whatever you need. I am all sufficient one and then God would continue to say I am your Creator. He could just go down the list and he says: I’m your provider I’m your healer I’m your deliverer I am your Good Shepherd I am your shield I’m your buckler I’m your peace I’m your strength And then when we come into the New Testament, Jesus would take up with that same theme and say: I’m the way the truth and the life I’m the resurrection and the life I’m the door to which you may enter in I’m your Saviour I’m your soon coming King God revealed himself to Moses at the burning bush and declaring I am. You can just put in whatever you need at that point in time and he is the I am. I am the one that is able to do whatever needs to be done. I am the all sufficient one I am the almighty one God wants us to know him. But there’s an aspect here that he wants you to know. What’s that aspect? He wants you to know that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. So that’s something he said you must believe about him and that’s very important. God wants you to know that he’s a rewarder. Or know that he exists and rewards. God says you must believe this about him, that he’s a rewarder. he wants you to know he’s interested in rewarding you. I just want to send this message out to everybody who’s out there taking care of your business: you’re taking care of your responsibilities. You wake up every day and give your best or serve wholeheartedly, and you are as consistent as you can. Whether people appreciate you, whether they acknowledge your efforts, whether they celebrate what you’re doing or not, I just want you to know that God appreciates you and that God sees everything that you do. Taking care of your responsibilities by carrying out your day-to-day responsibilities will transfer into rewards. God has a plan for you, and it has to do with doing things in life that matter to God. I just want to tell you that whatever you are doing, whether people appreciate you, whether they acknowledge your efforts, whether they celebrate what you’re doing or not, I want you to know that God appreciates you and that God sees everything that you do. You are important to God. He appreciates you, and
Strength in His joy

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, September 10th 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. What if your greatest strength had nothing to do with your circumstances? You see, the joy of the Lord is more than just a passing feeling; it’s a divine strength that anchors us through every trial and triumph of life. Unlike worldly happiness that depends on circumstances, the joy God gives flows from His presence, His promises, and His unfailing love. This joy is constant, unshakable, and deeply rooted in our fellowship with Him. It is what empowers us to stand firm, bringing inner peace when storms rage and resilience when challenges arise. The joy of the Lord steadies our hearts, fuels our faith, and equips us to move forward with hope no matter what we face. When we truly understand this truth, we can face anything life sets before us. In today’s message titled “Strength in His joy,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores this life-transforming power. Let’s discover together the joy that changes everything. Be blessed as you listen! We were created to walk and talk with God and rejoice and be glad every single day. The bible says that this is the day that the Lord has made for us to rejoice and be glad in him. So God created every day for us to rejoice and be glad no matter what happens in a particular day because joy is very important. The joy of the Lord is our strength. God is a good God and it’s his good pleasure to give us every good and perfect gift. It’s his desire that we walk in his joy. Start A New Path today right now, A New Path of walking and talking with God and of enjoying you and letting his joy be our strength “Looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). So, what’s that joy, what’s the joy of the Lord. Jesus had the strength to endure the cross because of the joy that was set before him. Jesus was going to pay the price in order to have relationship with us and fulfil the will of the father no matter what. So, what was the joy set before him? We were the joy that was set before him. We were the joy that helped him to endure the incredible price, the cross, the beating, the torture and all that he went through. We were the joy that was set before him that helped him to endure the cross. The joy of the Lord is our strength, so our strength comes from joy. What is the joy of the Lord? Relationship with us. our strength comes from having relationship with God. Our relationship with him literally becomes our strength. The relationship with us was what Jesus did not have yet. He had a place at the right hand of the father. He already had heard from the father: ‘you are my beloved son in whom i am well pleased’. But what he didn’t have yet was you and I and he wanted relationship with us to the point that he paid the price that was really a price nobody else could afford. He said I’m going to lay down my life for you and I call you friend. Then you begin to realise that relationship really is the joy of the Lord. His relationship with us was God’s joy and still is the joy that was set before him hallelujah. The joy of the Lord can take us through anything. This was how Paul survived shipwreck and being beaten and all the things that the apostle Paul went through and yet he talks over and over again about the joy of the Lord. How does somebody go through these kinds of things and not end up as a victim but instead as a victor. It’s only through the life of God inside us and specifically his joy relationship with us is what becomes our strength. In this life, we can at any time or at any place enter into that relationship or that fellowship even when things are not going well. I can still enter into the joy of the Lord. It’s not just acting happy or trying to feel a particular emotion. No, this goes way deeper than that. It’s joy that’s inexpressible and full of glory. In other words, full of the presence of God. So in good times, in challenging times, in impossible circumstances, the joy of the Lord is always available. Isn’t that awesome? Praise God! We don’t have to just wait until we get to heaven. No, ‘your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven’. God says you need to enter into that joy not just when you get to heaven but heaven has literally come to us, it’s already started now. Yes, there’s going to be a day when we die and go to heaven, but the kingdom of heaven has already come. It’s here and so we don’t have to wait until we die, we literally have entered into that eternal life even right now. So, God says we can enter into this kind of joy in any circumstance and any situation. It’s available to us but many times we just don’t know and it’s through lack of knowledge that we perish. We think it’s an emotion, we don’t really understand the fact that it’s way more than an emotion. It’s actually the fruit of the life of God living on the inside of us. It’s the fruit of that relationship that we have with him. Romans 14 and verse 17 says: “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”. This is where
There’s a better way to live.

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, September 3rd 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Everywhere we look, people are searching for a meaningful life. Some pursue success, while others chase after wealth, pleasure, or recognition; yet, these things often leave the heart unsatisfied. Deep within, we know there must be more to life than simply existing, enduring, or striving without true fulfilment. God never intended for us to live in defeat, emptiness, or constant struggle. Instead, He has prepared a life of abundance, joy, and peace for all who walk with Him. Each day is a fresh opportunity to step into the life God has designed – a better way to live, filled with purpose and gratitude. We don’t have to settle for less, or be weighed down by fear, doubt, or despair. God has called us into a better way of living – one marked by His joy, His peace, and His presence. In today’s sermon titled “There’s a better way to live,” Evangelist Paul Acquah invites you to step out of the ordinary and into an extraordinary way of being. Be blessed as you listen! Rejoicing every day is a better way to live. How do you rejoice every day? It reminds me of John 10 and verse 10. a very familiar scripture for most of us. The Bible says that Jesus came to give us life and to give us more abundantly. Not less abundantly so rejoice over that and thank God for that. I want to just stir you up and encourage you that not only is this the day that God made for you to rejoice and be glad (Psalm 118:24), but this whole week God has got strategic divine appointments waiting for you and let’s not waste it on our carnality. Let’s not waste it on ourselves by being selfish. Let’s recognise that there’s something bigger and greater going on in our day today that is going to produce for us and flow through us in everlasting supernatural life that is going to bring transformation in Jesus’ name. There’s joy in communicating with the Lord. In Philippians 1:3-4, Paul says 3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy. Prayer is communing with God. The Greek word means to speak to: it means to commune with God, so it’s not necessarily asking him for things, it’s just communing with him. There’s another word called supplication which means you’re making request, but often times it’s prayer and supplication. First, you’re just communing with him, loving him, praising him and enjoying yourself in his presence. Then you can have supplications where you take your request or troubles to the Lord in prayer. There’s a joy in communicating with God so if you don’t communicate with God then you’re communicating with your problem. Let me say that again if you’re not communicating with God you’re communicating with your trouble. You cannot commune with your problem or commune with your trouble and have joy. There’s joy in the presence of God. When you spend time with God, you’re in his presence. Psalms 16: 11 says: You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. The bible didn’t say In Your presence is fullness of depression, worry, and sorrow. It says you will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. There’s joy in communing with God. You can’t hang out with God and not have joy in your heart. In his presence there is fullness of joy. “I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Ps 122:1). If you’re complaining before the Lord then you’re not going to have joy. Why is joy so important? First of all, joy is a source of strength. We know this famous phrase from scripture that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Nehemiah 8:10 says “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” I love that: “Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food and drink; and share it with those who don’t have anything: This day is holy to God. Don’t feel bad. The joy of God is your strength!” Joy is connected to strength. Just have joy and yes it will be your strength. Receive it with joy. What does the joy of the Lord is my strength mean? How can we apply it to our daily lives? Nehemiah 8 10 says do not sorrow; that’s a choice. Do not sorrow for the joy of the Lord is your strength. People burn out and we hear a lot about that, well, I’m just burned out. That’s because you’re not living from his Joy. So many people have burned out on life, or they go through seasons of burnout. Why? Because they’re trying to live in their own strength rather than the joy of the Lord which is their strength. You can’t live a better life when you try to live life from your own strength. It’s going to be a tough life and that’s why people are saying ‘I just don’t know what to do. If you only knew what I’m going through, I’m just so depressed, what about this and what if this happens’. You keep making what if statements because you’re living in your own strength but when you choose to live from his Joy, you can be joyful no matter what happens. I can have peace no matter what’s coming against me. It’s about what you believe. He will fill you with all joy and peace. Do you believe? What do
The joy-filled life

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, August 27th 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Every sunrise is a reminder that God has given us another gift – the gift of a brand-new day. But how should we live this day? Should we live it weighed down by worry, fear, and regret… or should we embrace it with gratitude, faith, and joy? According to the Bible, joy is not just a fleeting emotion – it’s a choice, an attitude, a daily posture that transforms ordinary living into extraordinary life. This daily posture of rejoicing is a better way to live because it is a life intentionally lived in alignment with God’s will, drawing strength and purpose from His perfect design and unfailing presence. In today’s message titled “The joy-filled life,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores what it truly means to live a life overflowing with joy. Let’s discover how a daily posture of rejoicing is not only possible, but actually the full, rich life God has always intended for us. Be blessed as you listen! The Christian is to live an extraordinary life God designed for us to enjoy. God wants you to rejoice. God wants you to be full of Joy. God wants you to celebrate. We are not forcing something on God because it’s his desire for you and me to rejoice every single day because there are benefits of living a life full of joy. I feel like praying for people for a greater revelation of the potential that we have, the access to what God wants. This isn’t something God doesn’t want us to have. We’re not forcing something on God here that he doesn’t want. He is so desiring for this to happen in your life but sometimes we need to get the blinds off and the chains off and the religious baggage off and realise we’re created for this. We’re created to walk and talk with God and rejoice and be glad every single day. The bible says that this is the day that the Lord has made for us to rejoice and be glad in him. So it’s not TGIF (Thank God it’s Friday) but thank God for everyday hallelujah. The bible says “Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24). “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4) “Rejoice always” (1 Thessalonians 5:16). Joy is a choice, so Joy is not the same thing as happiness. Those two are different. The word happiness comes from the word hap and the word hap means circumstance. It’s another word for circumstance, so happiness is based on your circumstances. Life is up and down with circumstances so you cannot be happy all the time because circumstances are not always good all the time, but joy is something that you can have all the time. It’s 100% of your choice to access that because joy is a fruit of the Spirit. If you are a born-again Christian, then let me remind you that when you got born again all the fruit of the spirit were deposited inside you: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control are all inside you, so you can tap into the fruit of the Spirit. It’s in your spirit. “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:27-28). This is a passage that most of us know. So God created man. How did he create him? In his own image. This is so important for us to get hold of. In the image of God, he created him male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and God said to them be fruitful and multiply. We love that part, those of us who are married, be fruitful, be multiplied and fill the Earth and subdue it, have dominion. So, I want to say to you today that we’ve been created in the image of God, you’ve not been created in somebody else’s image, and you’ve been fearfully and wonderfully made and God says I want you to have dominion because you’re blessed. That makes me rejoice and be full of Joy and I hope so are you. I want you to subdue the Earth, in other words I want you to fill the Earth with the image that you’ve been created in. Who is in you is greater than whatever is coming against you, and God says I want the power of God that’s in you to be flowing out from you. As a New Covenant believer, we have the ability to do this because of the image that we’ve been created in, and how the last Adam, Jesus Christ, came to restore what the first Adam blew. Aren’t you glad that we’ve been delivered from The Adams Family? Hallelujah. Thank God we’ve been delivered into God’s family and that we are sons and daughters and we are living in his presence because we’ve been created in the image of God. It’s in him that we live and move and have our being. So, no matter what’s going on in your day today, Psalm 118:4 says that “This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice, and we will be glad in it”. This is the day we will do what? We will rejoice and be glad in it because he made this day for us to do exactly that. This is not a day for us to be depressed. It’s not a day for us to be filled with fear. He said I made this day for you so that you can respond to
The rewards of our choices

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, August 20th 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Every choice we make… every word we speak… every act of obedience or disobedience, carries eternal weight. The Bible tells us that God will repay each person according to what they have done. That means with every choice we make in our work and service, we are either moving closer to God’s reward or further away from it. Nothing goes unnoticed by God. When we give our best as unto the Lord, there is a reward stored up. But when we grow careless, cutting corners and living only for self, we risk losing what could have been gained. This is not a call to fear—but to faithfulness. A reminder that every effort made in Christ’s name is noticed by heaven. In today’s message titled “The rewards of our choices,” Evangelist Paul Acquah shares on how to live for what truly lasts. Be blessed as you listen! Giving your best will be greatly rewarded because God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” The bible instructs believers to work with all their heart, not just for human masters, but as if working for the Lord, with the promise of receiving an inheritance as a reward. Whatever good thing you do, you will receive from the Lord. Ephesians chapter 6 says: “Employees, be obedient to them that are your employers according to the flesh (that is, masters, physical masters or managers) with fear and trembling in singleness of your heart as onto Christ. So the bible says, ” to serve them, be obedient to them as if you were doing it to Jesus”. See your master as Jesus, with a sincerity of your heart, being absolutely sincere about what you’re doing. He says: “Not with eyeservice” not when the other person is looking, ” as men-pleasers”, you’re not trying to please them but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will. Doing service as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does the same shall he receive of the Lord whether he be bond or free” (Ephesians 6:5- 8, Emphasis mine). Here’s what that means: It says I’m to be obedient and I’m not to work just because he’s watching or to please him. I’m to work as if God is my manager. I’m to work as if Jesus Christ is the authority over my life on that job. I’m to work, and I’m to labour, I’m to give it my best, not do my best when he’s watching, but to do my best because the Lord Jesus Christ is my Saviour. I’m His ambassador, I’m His representative, and I’m working for Him. “With good will, doing service as to the Lord and not to men”. The principle is this: that wherever God places me, I am to give it my best as if I’m serving the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. We’re talking about the way you and I live every day. You get up tomorrow morning, you’re going to work, you’re going to do a good job, best you can, or you’re going to play around at it? And you’re going to complain about it. And you’re going to get by with as little as you can. You know what? You’re losing your reward every single day. Mark this down, every single day we’re either losing or we’re gaining reward. God said it. I didn’t say it. He’s the one who brought up the whole issue of rewards and look for yourself in the bible how many times He talks about them. Rewards are important to God. Do You know why they’re important to God? Because He loves you and because He wants to reward you. He will reward you in this life and He delights one of these days out in eternity with us standing before Him and Him saying to us, “Well done, good and faithful servants”.That’s what I want to hear my friend, and I hope so do you. Be the best at whatever you do, God is going to reward you. Whatever we do in the will of God, He’s going to reward us for that because he desires to reward us. It doesn’t make any difference what you do. It doesn’t make any difference where you do it. The issue is, what is the bottom-line motive for which you’re doing it? When our motivation is sincere and it’s pure and we’re doing it in the name of Jesus to the glory of God, whether it’s washing dishes in a kitchen or it’s preaching the gospel, it doesn’t make any difference. When you’re doing your best, God is going to reward you. And the issue is not to be seen, not the acclaim of people, but you do it because you’re doing the will of God. You want to bring Him glory and honour. If you’re going to wash dishes, wash them well. If you’re going to preach the gospel, do it the best you can. Don’t
Goodwill service attracts God’s reward

A SermonDelivered on Wednesday Evening, August 6th 2025, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH,Live on MZ Radio London, London UK. Have you ever wondered what truly matters in the service we offer? Is it just about what we do, or is there something deeper God sees? In a world where actions are often measured by outward results and recognition, God calls us to something deeper. He looks beyond what we do – and focuses on the why behind our service. The Bible tells us in Colossians that when we work, we should do it “heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. ” You see, God looks past the surface and sees the motive behind each action. In today’s message titled “Goodwill service attracts God’s reward,” Evangelist Paul Acquah explores how serving God with a sincere heart – not out of duty, pride, or pressure, but with goodwill – opens the door to God’s divine favour and eternal reward. Get ready to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired to serve not just with your hands, but with your heart. Be blessed as you listen! There are rewards that come from serving God wholeheartedly. The Bible talks about God’s promise to reward those who serve Him with good will and makes us understand that serving with a right heart and attitude is crucial for receiving God’s blessings. The word of God teaches the importance of serving others and doing good deeds as unto the Lord. This means serving with a sincere desire to please God, not for personal gain or recognition. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24). This text of scripture is telling us that our work should be done with the same dedication and effort as if we were serving Christ directly. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”. God looks at the heart and motives behind our actions. While outward actions are important, God also considers the motives behind our actions. Serving with a genuine desire to please God, rather than for selfish reasons, is seen as a way to honour God and align with His will. We are to serve with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: The Bible says don’t serve with eyeservice as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will. You may say I’m working in a hostile environment; how can I serve with good will. I can assure you that God can get you beyond that, God can open doors for you. God can do things that no man would do. If you do good will and you do it as to the Lord and not unto man, God will promote you. God rewards and promotes those who serve with good will. Those who serve others as unto the Lord with good will from the heart will shine like the sun. “Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear” (Matthew 13:43). Serving with good will brings joy and fulfilment, as it aligns our actions with God’s purposes and reflects His character. The Lord said to serve with good will. That means we are to serve our employers without grumbling and complaining. “Employees, be obedient to them that are your employers according to the flesh with fear and trembling in singleness of your heart as onto Christ. Not with eyeservice as men pleasers but as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart with good will. Doing service as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does the same shall he receive of the Lord whether he be bond or free” (Ephesians 6:5- 8). Examine your heart attitude as you serve in any capacity. “Good will” implies a genuine, heartfelt attitude. Our service should be sincere, reflecting our love for God. It’s not enough to just do a good job; the attitude with which we do it is important. God has called us to serve with genuine kindness and sincerity, not merely out of obligation or fear. Someone might say, “I can’t have a good attitude when my manager isn’t a good person.” The bible didn’t say serving with good will as long as our bosses or managers are wonderful. It is implied that this is supposed to be our conduct even toward those managers who are less than perfect. How can that be? It’s because our attitude is not determined by others. This is a total shock to most people today, but it’s true. Others influence us and present us with opportunities, but how we feel and act is our choice. Feelings and emotions are choices; you don’t feel them naturally. You can choose them. Most people don’t realise these are choices. Believers have the capacity to serve with “good will” because it’s associated with the fruit of the Spirit, which includes kindness and goodness. “ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23). We can choose to serve with good will because of the fruit of the spirit which is in us as born again Christians. This fruit is the product of the Holy Spirit, not our efforts . The “fruit” is not produced by the believer but by the Holy Spirit, as believers live in union with Him. The Spirit produces all nine of these things simultaneously and constantly. “But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control”. Our part is to yield and trust; God’s part is to produce the fruit. However,
