Evangelist Paul Acquah

What Do You Have That You Treasure Most?

What is it in your life that you treasure? Is it someone? Is it something? Is it some experience in your life? What is it that you treasure? When we consider what we treasure the most, what does it really mean? To treasure something means to hold it dear, close and protected. That thing holds a high value to you and you love it dearly. So, what is it that you truly treasure in life? When you think about treasure, what do you imagine? Most people would answer, “Money, prosperity, and riches.” However, if that is the only thing that comes to mind, then you must be very poor. The best things in life are not material possessions, for they transcend the material realm. The best things in life are of a higher quality, beyond the grasp of material possessions. So, let me ask you again: what do you possess that you treasure most? Is it your spouse, children, job, or your friends? Do you know that you possess Christ? If you’re not a Christian, that won’t make one bit of sense to you, and I understand that. But most of you are, and a lot of you who are reading this are. You’re believers. And of all the people who had many things to treasure, Paul, the Apostle and bondservant of Jesus Christ, was certainly one of them. It’s interesting in the Scripture that he mentions that we have this extraordinary treasure in us. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:7). This treasure is Christ Himself living inside of us, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). We have the presence of God, His Holy Spirit, living inside of us. This is what God has designed for every believer. We have the hope of glory. As believers, we need to treasure what we’ve received, heard, seen, and experienced. We are to treasure it in our hearts, quietly holding it there, pondering, examining, and enjoying it. The apostle Paul said: “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things” (Philippians 4:8). God wants us to put him first. He wants us to treasure him most. The reason he wants us to put him first is so that we will not have our hearts drawn away from the things of God. The Bible says when we hear the word; because of the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things can come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful (see Mark 4:19). A key to success in the kingdom of God is singleness of purpose. The apostle Paul said:  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13). We need to have singleness of purpose because we don’t have the capacity to do our best in two areas at the same time. “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money” (Matthew 6:24). Yes, there’re some material things that are good, and God is a good God. He gives us what we need and much more than we deserve – much more oftentimes than we expect or anticipate (Ephesians 3:20). Therefore if we will simply put God and His kingdom first in every area of our lives, He will add unto us all the wealth that we need (Matthew 6:33).

There’s Nothing More Powerful Than Your Faith

Your belief activates God’s power. Faith, at its core, is deep-rooted in the expectation of good things to come. It goes beyond hope. True faith keeps an expectant heart – that means trusting God no matter what the circumstances may look like. The Christian life is a life of faith in God’s grace. The more of His grace we receive, the more faith springs forth. Without faith, we simply cannot please God. Faith in God’s character and promises motivates us to trust, love and obey Him. Faith causes us to act on what we haven’t experienced yet, to believe promises in the Bible that haven’t been fulfilled yet, and to trust God when our situations haven’t changed yet. I want to encourage you to build your faith in God and trust Him in everything. Be blessed as you read. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Many of us are familiar with this popular scripture and we often quote it. “Without faith it’s impossible to please God”. When the Lord Jesus was on earth, he constantly commented on faith. He looked at people and evaluated them in many cases by their faith or their lack of faith because faith is very important to God. We, as humans don’t often think about these things. Two kinds of faith amazed Jesus: great faith and little faith. He’d say you have little faith, or you have such great faith, or your faith made you whole. He used those terms constantly because God can’t do any more for you than you believe. For example:“When Jesus heard it, He marvelled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” (Matthew 8:10).  Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour (Mathew 15:28).    And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” (Mark 5:34). There were times when Jesus marvelled at the little faith of His disciples. But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm (Mathew 8:26). If there’s any day in our lives or any time in our lives where faith was important, it’s today. If you want to be happy with all the madness going on in the world, then you just need to learn to walk by faith because it’s available. It doesn’t matter what’s happening around the world.  It won’t affect you when you have faith. God put you on this earth with your destiny intact. So, don’t be distracted by the negativity out there. Anything you need can be found in God, so have faith in the one who knows tomorrow. We can laugh, love, and live the life that God has for us no matter what happens. It’s a lie to think that just because our country, economy, and the world situation have taken a certain direction, you can’t become the person that God intended you to be or accomplish what you could have at a different time. That’s just not true.  We possess our destiny by faith. Yes, there is war in Ukraine, we have a high cost of living, and getting on the property ladder is so difficult – but these factors can never affect the destiny of a child of God. Our focus must be on God, and not on living independent lives. “Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps” (Jeremiah 10:23 NIV). Your faith will enable you to accomplish whatever God created you to be and to do on this earth. Therefore, you can protect your destiny by how much faith you have in God. Your destiny depends on your obedience to the will and plan of God for your life. We look not at things which are seen but at the things which are not seen. The things which are seen, which is what I call bad news is all around us. It’s pumped into our lives 24/7 from every device we have. Any time you spend listening to or watching negative things on these devices is akin to listening to the devil. But there is good news out there. The program on some Christian television channels is called Good News because the gospel is being preached. There is good news in the world. It just doesn’t get as much coverage. Just know that there’re lots of good news going around. And the good news is so good that the bad news doesn’t matter. The good news can overcome and overrun all these negative things. Darkness cannot comprehend the light. The good news is so powerful it’s going to outlast the bad news.  It’s going to outlive the fake news. In fact, when the good news is fully manifested on earth, there won’t be any bad news left. We know God’s promises and accept them by faith. It’s so important to understand that faith pleases God, it honours God, and it’s important to God. He wants us to have faith in Him and therefore we need to be steadfast in our faith, which is possible. It’s very important to know that since we’re saved by faith, faith is something every person can exercise. Most of the things God has provided can only be accessed through faith. God will not act against your will if you won’t receive him. “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:11-12).  “For God so loved the world that He gave His

Miracles Happen When Faith Dominates Sight

Faith receives that which grace supplies and faith in Christ always honours God. When God speaks and you dare to believe him, he rejoices to bring his word to pass. It honours God that we believe in him even when every sense contradicts him. As new creations in Christ, our faith journey leads us to a profound experience of God’s love, a deeper understanding of His character, and more revelation of His blessings and miracles. The longer we walk with Him, the more evident these become. God is calling you to a deeper level of faith in him. He wants you to believe in His love and goodness towards you. So, start making decisions that honour God. In this article, you will learn about desiring to live for God’s honour through the expression of your faith. God wants us to walk by faith. God likes this method of relating to Him. He invented this method for us. He operates this way himself and he loves to interact with us by faith. The Bible says ‘for we walk by faith, not by sight.’ This concept of a walk, in scripture, is symbolic of a lifestyle. A walk is progressing through life. We read in the book of Genesis that Enoch walked with God, and we are encouraged in the New Testament to walk in the light as he is in the light.  So, the walk has to do with life here in this world, and walking by faith is what honours God. Walking by faith is a simple principle that is very difficult to do. Most of us are more dominated by our sense of sight than we are by our faith, and therein lies our basic problem. When we renew ourselves to the point that faith dominates sight, then miracles happen. The Christian life is to be regulated and conducted by faith, as opposed to the external and outward appearances of physical sight. There is a sense in which sight is involved, but it is the spiritual seeing of faith rather than seeing with the physical eye. We may not like faith, but God wants us to operate in faith because faith honours Him. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. The object of all true faith is God Himself, and not having faith in one’s faith. Faith must always go back to the promise of God and the God behind that promise. Faith carries the idea of being certain and assured of the reality of what is believed (Hebrews 11:1).  We walk by faith, not by sight, and these two principles of life of course are contrary one to another: Faith and sight. Faith is believing God as being God as he’s revealed himself to us. Faith is responding positively to God’s promises. A particular promise of His Word must be seen, heard, understood, and believed in the heart (Matthew 13:15, 23; Romans 10:8, 10) so that it may be acted upon and bear fruit. Faith is believing God’s word. Sight on the other hand is when we go by what we see even though God says something very different. So, these two principles of life are in opposition to one another. The big question is of course, which principle are we following? Do we walk by faith, or do we walk by sight? Even though sight says something completely contrary to what we’re given to believe, many of us don’t like to walk in faith. Humans prefer written records in a natural world context. We’d rather have substance. It’s all about seeing is believing. You don’t want your manager to pay you by faith. Employers don’t want their employees to show up by faith. They want them there in person. When you go to the bank, they don’t loan you money by faith. They want security, insurance, and guarantee. So, we don’t operate that way on the human level. But when you begin to relate to God, everything you do with God is by faith. He’s invisible, you can’t see him, you can’t touch him. And so, when you pray, you pray in faith. When you get saved, you get saved by faith. When you believe God for his blessings and his promises, you do it by faith. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it’s impossible to please God. I love that because I want to please God and I hope so do you. I’m glad he rewards those who please him by seeking him in faith. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). He answers the prayers of those who please him. “And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight” (1 John 3:22). So, in this life who do you want to please the most? As for me, I want to please God and I hope you want to please God too. Faith is something everyone can do, so God has his kingdom set up this way so that we interact with him by faith. In God’s kingdom, you get what you believe for, and we receive by faith. In fact, you don’t even get what he’s paid for, you get what you believe for. So, grace makes everything provided by God available to us with no limit, but each Christian or each person on earth receives as much of God’s grace as he or she believes for. You don’t get what you deserve in God’s kingdom, you get what you believe for. For example, salvation is available to everybody through Christ, but only those who believe in him are saved. “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His

Fruitful Life

Do you want your life to be fruitful and fulfilling? Jesus commands us all to be fruitful, and He empowers us to be productive, maximizing every bit of our skills, talents and resources so that we may fulfil His purpose for our lives. We were created to be examples, testimonies that prove God’s faithfulness by being a blessing to the people around us. God calls us to make a difference as we abide in Him. We’re called to bear fruit in this world so the world will know God. Whether it’s being a blessing in the office place, the campus or even in your own home, God has called us all to be a light. The proof that you are a disciple of Jesus is that you bear spiritual fruit. Spiritually fruitful people express the image of God to those around them. This article shows you that living a fruitful Christian life is the calling of every believer. God wants you to be fruitful, so He talks about how important it is to abide in Him. It’s impossible not to bear fruit if you are connected to Him. In John 15 Jesus starts talking about how important it is for the disciples to abide in Him and He makes a comparison that I am the vine, you are the branches, and you have to remain in me. A branch can’t produce unless it’s attached to the vine.  Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:4-5). So, how can you bear fruit? He’s the vine and all we are is a branch. All you’ve got to do is stay connected to Him and it’s impossible for you not to bear fruit, it’s impossible for God not to flow through you. The “fruit” is not produced by the believer, but by the Holy Spirit as we live in union with Him. Our part is to yield and trust; God’s part is to produce the fruit. He specifically chose you so He can flow through you to bear fruit.   “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you” (John 15:16). He says you didn’t choose me; I chose you. You’ll often hear people say things like “I found the Lord”. Well, the Lord wasn’t the one who was lost. God found us and we don’t always perceive it this way, but God has pursued you. You didn’t choose God. God has chosen you. He’s persuaded you; He’s drawn you towards Himself and what did He choose you for? The Bible says “I’ve chosen you that you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain.” God didn’t call you and choose you so that you could live a miserable life. As a matter of fact, in Galatians chapter 1 verse 4, the Bible says that Jesus gave Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world. Not just the world to come, but now, this present evil world. We indeed have heaven waiting for us and that is a guarantee to all people who have a true relationship with God, and heaven is going to be full of joy, but the Lord came to deliver us from this present evil world. He saved you not just to live, but to bear fruit and let Him flow through you to benefit others. We are here to live profitable lives. Don’t be like the unprofitable servant. Make your life count. He said He came to give you life and to give it to you more abundantly (see John 10:10). The Lord’s will for you is to be above only and not beneath, the head and not the tail (see Deuteronomy 28). He ordained you to bear fruit that remains so that whatever you ask the Father in Jesus’ name, you will receive. God’s will is for you to be blessed and be a blessing. Perhaps you look at your life and feel like it’s not yielding results. Even if you create something, it seems to be temporary and not long-lasting. This is because you haven’t experienced the best yet. I’m not saying that to condemn you but so I can encourage you that God has more for you. If you don’t wake up in the morning and say; thank you Jesus for everything you’re doing in my life, if you aren’t excited about your future, it’s because you aren’t bearing fruit that remains, but know that this is God’s will for you. He wants you to bear fruit so that whatsoever you ask the Father in His name, He may give it to you. God wants you to be fruitful. God wants you to have an abundant life. If you’re not experiencing it, don’t assume you’re not good enough. I’m trying to get you to recognise that many people have not been bearing fruit because they aren’t expecting much. Many Christians are not looking for an abundant life. They’re just looking to get by, and that attitude will stop you from bearing fruit.  One of the things that is such a godly thing is to really be hungry for God. It’s not your choice whether to share the gospel or not. We don’t live for ourselves.  14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again” (2 Corinthians 5:14, 15). “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and

It’s Time To Move On

Are you living with regret over the time you’ve wasted, the opportunities you’ve squandered, the sins you’ve committed, and the relationships you’ve destroyed? The reason so many of us never get where we’re supposed to be in life is because we don’t want to leave where we are. But so often in the plans of God, letting go is the door to your destiny. Holding onto regrets will always hold you back from living the life God wants you to live. When you focus on your past mistakes, it causes you to run from the life God created you to live. It’s a new day with a new opportunity to get your life together and move on to greater things, so don’t waste it looking back in regret! This article encourages you to break free from regret to avoid missing your destiny by holding on. We all deal with missed opportunities, regrets, sorrows, and disappointments. No one is exempted. You can look back and feel sad about what you should have done, shouldn’t have done, would have done, couldn’t do, and didn’t do. Just know that God can restore you. God can do more with your future than you could do if you were to live your past all over again. That’s the kind of God we serve. So, we can be free from regrets, disappointments, missed opportunities, past sins, broken relationships and many other situations that we face in our lives. We all have that. People think regret is a good thing. Of course, you shouldn’t feel good about the bad thing you did. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death” (2 Corinthians 7:10). The worldly sorrow produces death. But although there’s some regret initially with godly sorrow, it doesn’t last forever. Obviously, it’s not going to last forever because God is going to wipe every tear from our eyes when we get to heaven. So, regret is not God’s long-term will for you. You can apply the full manifestation of some of the inheritance that God has for us. No matter what has happened in the past, God wants you to move on with the life He has given you. Are you dealing with the loss of loved ones? This is something that there’s no escape from unless you go to heaven first. The longer you live, the more people you are going to know, and many will eventually pass away. The danger is, you may regret that you didn’t love them or show your love enough. There are all kinds of things that you might think you should have or could have, or would have. People are defensive and I’m not here to say that you shouldn’t have a process to go through, but it shouldn’t last forever. Jesus wants us to be happy, Jesus wants us to be filled with joy, and that’s why He comforts you when you mourn. He wraps His love around you. He said, “blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4). Jesus wants us to move on in life. I heard this testimony about a lady who was happily married and had three children. They were on a family trip and she was driving their minivan, but she fell asleep at the wheel and the van went out of control. It threw out her husband and their middle child and they died. It was devastating. She nearly lost her mind because of not only the loss but also the guilt. So, she was dealing with guilt and grief, and it was almost more than she could bear, but she gave herself to the Lord and gave herself to the word of God. Most people will think you can’t get over something like that. Maybe you shouldn’t get over something like that. You did something terrible; you will have to bear that scar for the rest of your life. And that’s exactly where many people are. They can’t be talked out of that, but know that it’s a decision. I don’t believe that long-term chronic grief is God’s will for His people. Jesus wants to set you free. This lady gave herself to the Lord, she prayed, she went to Bible school, she got in the word, and four years after that accident, she got married to a new husband. God set her free. Now her new husband testifies that she’s one of the happiest people he has ever met. If this woman could get over that, then you and I can get over ours. That’s what her testimony does. You may have lived a mild life compared to her, but we all have disappointments and regrets. You may be saying, if you’ve been through what I have been through, then you will understand. But the Bible says there’s no temptation taken you such as is common to man. Some people may say mine is special. I tell you, very few people have gone through what this lady had to deal with, but she overcame the situation. Once she shares her testimony, people begin to realise that what happened to her is worse than what’s happening to them. And if she can be happy and move on with her life, then we can all get over ours, and move on too. It’s God in us who makes us strong and overcomers. It’s Him in us who makes us brave and courageous. God gives us confidence and the eyes to see a hopeful future. It’s Him in us who allows us to not worry and gives us the tools to fight battles bigger than ourselves. He enables us to fight against disappointments and regrets and He enables us to move on in life. It’s Him in us who helps us to overcome darkness and gives us joy, even in sorrow. So, when you feel fearful, panicked, and overcome by darkness, know that it’s God in us who can tackle and overcome all

Living Without Sadness, Depression, Disappointments And Regret

A Sermon Delivered on Wednesday evening, March 9th, 2022, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH, Live on MZ Radio London, UK We’ve all experienced situations that left us feeling disappointed, discouraged and frustrated. Everymorning, Christians all over the world wake up discontent with life and wish they could trade it for adifferent one. But whenever life throws a curve ball, you have to learn to turn to God’s word and search for solutions that you can put into action to change your attitude and perspective. As believers, we are called to live by faith and not our emotions. And yet, so many of us choose to live by something else, our feelings. You see, in the middle of pain, disappointment, and suffering, it is faith that whispers this isn’t permanent.Maybe you’re going through something at the moment. If so, my hope for you is that you’ll allow thismessage to speak life into your current situation. In life, every one of us is going to experience sadness, regret, disappointment, and anxiety or depression,no matter who you are and where you live. These are realities of this broken world, but we know they never come from God. Where do they come from? Sometimes we experience sadness and disappointment through regret. Regret is sorrow or guilt over something that has happened or something that we have done. Regret can also be a sense of disappointment over what has not happened, such as regretting wasted years because of what you should have done or shouldn’t have done. There are other reasons why we experience sadness, regret, disappointment, and anxiety. It could be the loss of someone, a personal failure, an unfairness or injustice, or a tragedy of life. We’ve all been there. Everyone is on some level of sadness, regret, disappointment, or anxiety. It seems that we all made mistakes in our past. There are things that we did that we shouldn’t have done, and there are other things that we didn’t do that we should have done. And so, sadness, regret and disappointment affect all of us. This is where many times we face regrets. When you are changing seasons in your life, when you are going through a transition, it’s natural to look back. If you are completing school, if you are completing college or you are graduating from university or are about to marry, or you are transitioning from married life to a single life, it’s easy to look back and feel you could have done things differently or better. One might say; I could have studied better; I could have done this or that better, I wished I had done this, I missed this opportunity. What I’m doing with this message is applying the redemption that Jesus has provided for us to the soul, which is where sadness, regret, disappointments, and anxiety will be. You get saved and forgiven of your sins. You get spiritual rebirth for your spirit. We believe that by His stripes we were healed, and we apply that to our bodies, but also the soul is part of man and that’s where regret, sadness and sorrow, disappointments, anxiety and grieve reside. We can apply what Jesus did to our soul so we can be totally free from these emotional experiences just like we are free from guilt. When you apply the word to your past sins, then you are free from sin and guilt. We can apply what Jesus did to our past mistakes, experiences and whatever has happened in our past and be free from any kind of emotional distress. There can be areas in your past that you sometimes look with fondness at, and other areas that you pause to take a breadth with sadness at when you think about them. You may be thinking that you are supposed to feel that way because it happened and you think it’s going to be a scar in your life that’s never going to be completely go away. Know this, God is not going to let your past affect your future. We are not going to be sorry for anything for the rest of our lives. The reason God can do that is because Jesus has already paid the price. We can apply these truths now and be happy. You can be happy again no matter what has happened in your past. You can take the word of God and apply it and be happy and be filled with joy. You have to get over the past, if you want to go into the future that God has for you.Are you mourning? “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Mat. 5:4 NIV). In thistext of scripture, Jesus gives a beautiful promise. ‘They will be comforted’. He doesn’t want us to be sad.He doesn’t want us to mourn for long and have sorrow and regret as part of our thinking. In the Bible, God repeatedly promises us that when we experience sorrow, He is going to give us comfort. God sees you in your sorrow, He knows your tears. God is with us and He wraps His love around us. In our darkest night, God gives us hope. Psalm 30 says ‘weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning’. You can be comforted today when you experience sorrow. When you mourn, God will comfort you. Godsees those who mourn, and He promises to comfort them. He will bring healing to your heart when yougrieve or experience disappointment or regret. He gives hope to those feeling hopeless, and strength toanyone feeling overwhelmed. He is so close to you in the midst of your sorrow, regret and disappointment.“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow withhope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 15:13). If you allow the Holy Spirit, He can provide strengthwhen you are lacking it. God will give you unexpected strength. You are the only person who

You Must Look At Life Positively

A Sermon Delivered on Wednesday evening, March 2nd, 2022, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH, Live on MZ Radio London, UK The thoughts you think help determine the direction of your life. You can’t dwell on defeat and expect tosee victory. You see, one of the best things you can do for your future is to learn to be kind and positivetowards yourself. Don’t limit your potential by dwelling on the negative. Too many people go through theday worrying and full of fear, focused on their problems, not expecting anything good. And unfortunately, that’s exactly what happens. We draw in what we constantly think about, just like a magnet. But God wants you to be aware of more than your fears and failures; He wants you to realise the potential you have in Him.The more you master the art of looking at life positively, the further you’ll go in life. Don’t underestimatethe power of expecting good in your future. Today’s challenges you to get up in an attitude of faith andhave a positive outlook in life. You get saved and forgiven of your sins. You get spiritual rebirth for your spirit. We believe that by Hisstripes we were healed, and we apply that to our bodies, but also the soul is part of you and that’s whereregret, sadness and sorrow, mourning and grieve reside. We can apply what Jesus did to our soul and wecan be totally free from regret, sadness and sorrow, mourning and grieve just like we are free from guiltand sin. You have been specially delivered. There isn’t anything that God can’t deliver us from. We havebeen delivered from this evil world (Gal. 1:4). Therefore, we can look at life positively. The devil and theworld are constantly trying to rip off the covering of love and grace that God freely gives us. But Jesus died to save us from this evil world. “Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father” (Gal. 1:3-4). Here the apostle mentions grace, then peace. True peace comes from God and there cannot be true peace without God’s grace.God has blessed us with His grace. Grace includes God’s good will toward us, and peace implies comfortand prosperity which we all need. All these come from God our father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. This gives you every reason to look at life positively no matter our current situation, or whatever circumstances you are in today. Christ has redeemed us from the current world system ruled by Satan. Our future is bright and full of hope. Notice that Paul did not say Jesus gave Himself for our sins to deliver us from the evil world to come. He said “this present evil world.” He died to rescue us from this evil world. Even though, there is a better world to come, our salvation is effective in this life, too, not just in the one to come. Some of us have downgraded all the benefits of salvation to “when we all get to heaven.” But that’s not so.Through the atonement of Jesus, we have been delivered from this present evil world.People can be fine in their bodies, they can look perfectly normal, they can be Christians, but in their souls, they can be broken hearted, depressed, sad, and hurting over broken relationships or something in their past. They can be hopeless and helpless. They can be seeing life negatively. But Christ has delivered us from all of these. We need to get free from that. We can apply the power of God through His word to these areas of our soul and be totally free from anything that has happened. So, we can look at life positively. No matter how much you have done right, Satan will try to focus your attention on something and cause regret, sadness, disappointment, and depression to remain. He wants to keep you looking back, but on the other hand, no matter how much you have done wrong, Jesus can set you free. That’s the kind of God we serve.See life positively because the saviour came to deliver you from this present evil world. He can turn things around for the better. He will lead you to a hope and a future. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jer. 29:11).You may be saying to me, “you don’t know what I have done”. And it’s true, I don’t know what you’vedone, but I know what Christ has done, and what He did is greater than what you did. Christ gave himselffor our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and ourFather (Gal. 1:4). It’s time to move forward with your life. It’s time to press on towards the goal. Forgetthe past regrets, mistakes, failures, successes, disappointments, sin, and guilt. He heals the broken hearted. Jesus said He came to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18). Can you imagine, there’s no doctor in the world who can heal the broken hearted. There’s no drug or medicine in the world that can heal a broken hearted. There’s no psychiatric in the world who can heal a broken-hearted person. There’s no surgeon who can operate and heal a broken-hearted person. Jesus can heal a broken heart, and He is the only one that can.For the believer, “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away; behold, allthings have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17). God wants to heal you of your past and make you excited aboutyour new future. Be encouraged to see the new life

Living In Double Portion Blessings

A Sermon Delivered on Wednesday evening, February 23rd, 2022, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH, Live on MZ Radio London, UK As Christians, we can become complacent and satisfied knowing that we’re going to heaven, but God wants us to live an abundant life here and now! When you have God’s double portion blessings, you can expect your life to be fuller, richer, and more satisfying. But are you willing to go after it? If you truly want a double portion from the Lord, then you’ll be willing to put your own plans aside and seek out what Godhas for you. It doesn’t necessarily come easy. It’s not going to come without some dedication and effortfrom your side. But if you are willing, like Elisha was, to chase after a double portion, the opportunity isthere. God has already blessed you. His favour is on you. So, go after Him with all your heart and see what God has got in store for you! The purpose of this message is to show you how to receive a double portion of God’s blessings in your life.Living in double portion blessings means living in God’s greater blessings. This is a higher realm of living.“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in yourinheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours” (Isa.61:7). This scripture says instead of your former shame, you will have a double portion and instead ofhumiliation, your people will shout for joy over their portion. In their land! I’m glad He didn’t say whenyou go to heaven. I’m sure many of you have a lot of difficult and challenging things in your life. God wants to renew your strength so you can enjoy the peaceful and joyful life He has planned for you. Go for what God has planned for you. You don’t have to settle for less than the many blessings God has for you. Your attitude of settling for less is what is keeping you from receiving the good and perfect things from God.God’s blessings are the blessings that belong to all His children. When you become born again, you arecalled into God’s blessings. In that place of blessings, you are favoured. Every child of God is blessed and you begin to walk in the promises of God. You are supposed to walk in good health, righteousness, and prosperity. You are a blessed person. You may be going through a couple of struggles here and there, and still goingthrough life. And that’s where a lot of Christians are. It’s a good place to be, but there’s another realm ofGod blessings where only a few Christians live, and that’s God’s greater blessings. That’s a double portion blessing. The main reason we aren’t receiving His double portion blessings is because we are willing to settle for less. Very few are committed to receiving what God has for them. We have been influenced more by the world than by God’s Word and are satisfied to accept far less than what God has provided. Christians are to live an extraordinary life God designed for us to enjoy. Living in double portion blessings will not happen automatically. Only few of God’s children live in this realm. This is a place you decide how your life will be. As long as you are not eager to receive God’s double portion blessings, you will remain the same. That is an important truth. You must reach a place in life where you eagerly pursue God’s greater blessings. You must have a holy dissatisfaction with ordinary life before you can experience all that God has for you. It doesn’t happen accidentally or automatically. God wants you to have an abundant life. That includes double portion blessings (see John 10:10). You will not live in God’s double portion because you are a nice person. You will not live in God’s double portion because you are prayerful. You will not live in God’s double portion because you are born again. So many of God’s children live in His blessings, but there are greater blessings, or double portion blessings, and it takes faith to get those blessings. It takes, faith, trust and obedience to get those blessings. It takes more than just praying to receive God’s double portion. We pray but many have misconception about prayer. We think when we pray, then God does everything. When we pray, very often God shows us what we need to do. I’m not saying God doesn’t move supernaturally. The things we cannot do, He will do them for us. But if we are going to do nothing and expect God to do everything, then that’s not going to happen. You need to understand the message of faith in order to obtain God’s greater blessings. It’s just sad that so many Christians are even fighting the message of faith. Unless you’re willing to stand and fight the fight of faith, you will be overcome by this world. If you don’t stir yourself up, you will settle to the bottom. The world isn’t going to encourage you toward God’s perfect and good things that He has for you. Most Christians are not going to encourage you toward God’s greater blessings as well. Sadly, religion is one of the strongest weapons Satan is using to discourage people from believing for something more. Many churches believe that God doesn’t perform miracles today, or worse, that God is the one who wills for our lives to be in such a mess to break us. That is not true. This is where you believe ‘by His stripes you were healed.’ So, when sickness come to your body, you sayno way. So many Christians, when sickness come, willsay, well -sometimes up, sometimes down. I believe I will be ok, and they go through the sickness or process. Some get healed and some die. It’s still alright, they go to heaven and that’s what so many believers go through,

What Is Life Really About?

A Sermon Delivered on Wednesday evening, February 9th, 2022, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH, Live on MZ Radio London, UK Life is not an accident. There is a purpose and meaning to every life. The meaning of life, according to the Christian faith, is ultimately found in Jesus Christ. In Him, the questions about identity, origin, meaning, purpose, and destiny are answered with profound hope. We are the beloved children of God, created by our heavenly Father to reflect His glory, walk in His love, and do His will in our lives. You see, the key to the Christian life is living out of your born-again spirit instead of your flesh. God has already prepared the good works He has for us, and He did it with the purpose that we walk in them. This message expounds on the true meaning to a fulfilled life by following the examples of believers given in the Bible. The Christian life is like an Athletic program. After salvation, God sets us on a race of life. So, when wewere saved, He said, “this is the direction I want you to live your life”. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them”(Eph. 2:10). This is your goal, “walk in the good works that I set for you” and “be in the race set for you”.“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Heb. 12:1-2).In this race of life, we have encouragers. Being in the race set for us is fulfilling the purpose for which God created us. The Bible is saying, in this race there are encouragers, some pioneers have come, with their good works following them. There is a purpose for which God created every one of us and until a person accomplishes that or is in the process of doing so, he or she will never be living an abundant life. He or she will never be living a life worth living or living a fulfilled life. You may have all the money you want, or all the relationships you want, but you wouldn’t be living the purposeful life that God gave you as a believer if you are not in the race of life set before you. That is, if you are not living in the will of God or seeking to obey Him, you will never find fulfilment. If you don’t walk in the good works that God prepared before the foundation of this earth, you will never be satisfied in life. You will never be able to fill that void with anything in life than walking in the will of God.We need to walk in the good works that God prepared for us and not to walk away from them. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph. 2:10). Now the race of life becomes more personal when we read Hebrews 12:2. “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. It’s not a matter of speed but a matter of being able to last. It’s about being able to run the whole length. In our Christian lives we also have those things that impede and hinder our walk. Anything that hinders our keeping the pace of God is a distraction. It must be laid aside or turned away from. We are to lay aside those things that hinder and distract us in our Christian walk. As we are living in the will of God, anything that hinders or gets our attention and leads us away from the will of God must be dealt with. That can be a habit in our lives. Some sport or even watching TV. Anything which is being over emphasised in our lives must be dealt with. That means, something we give special importance or value to. It may even be doubt or fear, action, attitude, or relationship. Anything that hinders, impede, slows us down or gets us out of the will of God may have to be removed. We have to look in our own lives and say, ‘what is it in my lifestyle that hinders me or keeps me away from focusing on my God given goal, His will or allowing Him to work His way in my life’.We all have to examine ourselves and lay aside the sin that ensnares us. Sometimes it’s not easy to identify them. We may have some habits in our lives that have been there for years. And we may think, that’s just the way I am, but it may be retarding your spiritual walk. Sometimes it could be just a little doubt that lingers in our lives. We may think does God even care or have a plan for my life. We sometimes make decisions and ask God to bless us, but do we ask the mind of God before we make those decisions? So, there are many areas that we can make them hinder our race and walk with the Lord. Firstly, we must examine ourselves to see what’s hindering us. Secondly, we must decide to deal with them and thank the Lord for showing us those hindrances. It may not even be deliberate or a known willful sin, but acknowledge that it’s hindering your walk and therefore, needs to be laid aside. You may be holding

Resolutions For A Life Worth Living

A Sermon Delivered on Wednesday evening, February 2nd, 2022, byEvangelist PAUL ACQUAH, Live on MZ Radio London, UK The stories given in Scripture about how people related to God, and the accompanying positive or negative results, are recorded for our benefit. You see, you do not have to embark on an uncharted path to find God.The process can be simplified by simply believing the map that God has given man – the Bible. While thestories of the Bible can sometimes seem frozen in a different time, they offer us the opportunity to learnvaluable lessons we can apply to our lives. God has given us a wealth of wisdom in the Bible. And we need to rise above the noise of this world and dig into His word to find answers for this life we are living. The purpose of this message is to encourage you to learn and apply the stories of Biblical characters to your life.Life-tested wisdom on how to live from faithful servants of God whose faith were tested and proven. Living wisely is the art of learning to live at the centre of God’s will. This is where the wisdom of lives that have already been lived can be of immense aid – a source of forward-facing resolutions, borrowed from people who have long died, having lived, by God’s standard, honourable and generous lives. Lives full of hope and substance, irradiated by their faith and ideas that have endured across the ages to make other lives more liveable. Here are few such ideas that make for life-expanding resolutions. The Bible records the events of the lives of some Old Testament saints. To understand and learn from them, we as believers must appreciate the truths as beauty in the stories themselves. Some of you may say these were Old Testament figures. I just want to show you the importance of learning at the expense of other people, so you are not to figure everything out on your own.Let’s look at 1 Corinthians 10:6-11 “6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted”. This is talking about the Israelites, when they came out, and we learn some things through them..7 And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat anddrink, and rose up to play.” 8 Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one daytwenty-three thousand fell; 9 nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come”. So twice in verse 6 and verse 11, it says: 6 Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. All the things recorded in the Old Testament are recorded for our benefit so we can learn through them. This is one reason so many people find themselves in a mess today. Their life is out of control because they don’t know what the word of God teaches. By using the examples of the Old Testament people, we can learn how to live through them. Hebrews 11 records those Old Testament saints as cloud of witnesses to follow. They have been tremendous and awesome examples to us. The chapter refers to the lives that they lived, the challenges, difficulties, troubles, and hardships they faced. We are to look at the trials they went through and how they responded as well as what God did in their lives. It’s been fascinating, reading about the lives of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, David, and Daniel. Men whose lives I can relate to. Seeing how God worked in their lives, and thinking that my situation is slightly similar, it makes look again at how God worked in my life, and I see clearly that the principles have not changed. I’m inspired by reading and searching for how God worked in the past, and the more I do this, the more encouragement I get. I say “God, the way you worked in their lives is the same you will do for me”.You may look at your situation and say, “God, this is unfair to me”. But look at Joseph who was falselyaccused and imprisoned. He could have said, God, where are you? But He was faithful to God. He camefrom no hope as a prisoner and became the Prime Minister of Egypt. And so, when I look at how thingshave been unfair to me and my loved ones, I recall and think about Joseph. I think about how the race oflife can be rough and full of troubles. Then I think about David, how many times he ran from one cave to the other, escaping from Saul who was determined to kill him. I also think about the short cut Moses tookby killing an Egyptian and what he went through – living in the desert as a result. He took a short cut forthe plan of his life for the nation of Israel. Once we discover God’s will, that’s not the end of the story; now we have to walk it out. One of the hardest parts about following God’s will is moving in His timing. Moses tried to bring God’s will to pass when he moved in his own strength and killed an Egyptian (Ex. 2:11-12 and Acts 7:24-28). Attempting to rush God’s timing actually set Moses back thirty years (Gen. 15:13 and Ex. 12:41).David is one of the greatest examples in the Old Testament of the good things to do and at
